# Privacy Policy for NotiBuck
**Effective date:** September 28, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how NotiBuck ("the App", "we", "our") handles information when you use the App. NotiBuck is a notification saver and vault utility that intercepts, organizes, categorizes, and lets you search your notifications.
## The short version
NotiBuck stores your notifications **locally on your device only**. The App does not have internet access, does not send your data anywhere, contains no ads, and includes no analytics or third-party tracking.
## Information the App accesses
With your explicit consent (granted through Android's *Notification access* system setting), the App reads notifications posted by apps **you have explicitly added to the whitelist** inside the App. For each saved notification, the App stores locally:
- The app that posted it (app name and package name)
- The notification title
- The notification text content (including expanded/big text where available)
- The posting timestamp and notification category
- Tags and star/organization marks you assign
The App also stores your in-app preferences (whitelisted apps, tags, settings) locally.
## How your information is used and stored
- All data is stored **on your device** in a local database (Room) and in local app preferences.
- The App is used solely to display, search, categorize, and manage your saved notifications for you.
- The App **does not declare the INTERNET permission** and cannot transmit data off your device.
- We do not collect, receive, or have access to any of your data — everything stays between you and your device.
## Data sharing and disclosure
We do not sell, share, transfer, or disclose your information to anyone. There are no third-party SDKs in the App that collect data (no analytics, no advertising, no crash-reporting services).
## Android backup
The App permits Android's standard backup feature (Android Auto Backup / device-to-device transfer). This means your App data *may* be included in the backups you already make to your own Google account or when transferring to a new device, under your Google account's settings. We do not control or have access to these backups.
## Your control over your data
You are in full control:
- **Whitelist:** only apps you explicitly allow are captured; you can change this at any time in the App's settings.
- **Delete entries:** you can delete individual saved notifications or tags at any time.
- **Erase everything:** uninstalling the App, or clearing the App's storage in Android Settings, permanently deletes all stored notifications and preferences.
- **Revoke access:** you can revoke *Notification access* for the App at any time in Android Settings → Apps → Special app access → Notification access.
## Permissions the App uses
- **Notification access (`BIND_NOTIFICATION_LISTENER_SERVICE`):** to read and save notifications from your whitelisted apps. Granted and revocable by you in system settings.
- **Post notifications (`POST_NOTIFICATIONS`):** only so the App can show its own status notifications on your device.
The App requests no other permissions and does not access your contacts, location, files, camera, microphone, or other apps' data beyond the whitelisted notifications you consent to.
## Children's privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13 (or under the age of digital consent in your region), and we do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone — the App collects nothing from anyone.
## Changes to this policy
If the App's data handling changes in a future version, this policy will be updated before that version is released, with a new effective date.
